Beyond a Blessing Labyrinth & Llama
The farm at Betty and Marty’s Llama Meadows is absolutely gorgeous! Sunrise each morning from the campsites is spectacular as it rises over their barn home and cascading hills. The children loved playing along the hill sides and the hiking trails led to breathtaking secluded spaces. The bonfire and gathering space was fun and welcoming and Betty is truly a beautiful hostess with what she has to offer from her well water to the beautiful organic veggies you can chose to receive. The labyrinth on Llama Meadows bestows such an uplifting essence that is an energized vibration felt throughout the stay. To sleep in her grassy hillside is truly such a blessing and, the forested woods behind you provides great shade across each campsite, while she includes a bench that works as a rocking chair along each of the shaded tree lining camping spots that is truly so comforting for the entire visit. It is beyond a gift to stay at one of Llama Meadow’s HipCamp camping sites.

Site 4 Delightful
Groovy vibes and peaceful features
Betty and Marty are two stellar hosts full of much love! We received a tour of their farm and they showed us what they grow, told us the history of their (past) llamas, and even offered us some homemade juice and scuffins (scone muffins).
The site itself felt very private, we went with #4 and had our own parking with a spot to pitch a closet tent, and nearby were a shower (heated) and water kettle (for pressed coffee) with an electrical outlet which would have allowed phone charging. There is also a communal pit which my bf and I stayed warm next to, another couple came and went very briefly and Marty hung out by the fire to chat for a bit as well. Plenty of wood, which we had at a small extra fee, as well as a grill cover which we could have roasted over. I sadly did not nab any bites at the nearby lakes, so cooking over the fire did not occur, but instead we went into town for Roadhouse Mexican and the local Cherry Hut.
Worth every moment. The hosts seem to also offer AirBnB options of a camp-feely treehouse as well as an overlooking cottage unit, in case someone is on the fence about the site camp options.
10/10 would recommend if you’re into Woodstock, free love, and farm-living energy!

Peaceful tent camping
This place is great!!! This is my second time camping at Llovely Meadows. We booked all four tent sites (1-4) for a group camping weekend.
Beautiful natural setting with only the grassy hills, trees, garden, and owner’s home visible from the campground. Located just outside of Benzonia (groceries) and a short 10-minute drive to Frankfort (beach, restaurants, shopping). Amazing stargazing at night!
Clean tent sites with lush, well-trimmed grass at the edge of an open field, shaded from the midday sun. Clean facilities with hand-washing station. Private outdoor shower. Picnic tables and fresh jug of drinking water at every site. Giant communal fire ring with cooking grate. Swing set and toys for the kids.
Betty checked in on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic camping experience. Highly recommend!!!

WOW !!!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! The land was beautiful, all the amenities were so nice and thoughtful. The campsite was spacious and clean. The bathroom was always clean and the outdoor shower was AMAZING!!! All of us agree it was the best shower experience we have ever had. The hosts, Betty and Marty, were kind and helpful and gave us lots of recommendations for hikes and ice cream spots.
I cannot wait to return in the future!! I would recommend this to everyone 10/10

A Treasure in Northern Michigan!
Llovely Meadows campsites are a dream location! We absolutely loved our stay there. Betty was such a gracious and welcoming hostess and the setting is charmed and peaceful. It is also spotlessly clean and quiet! The campground facilities are rustic works of art. The love and dedication brought to creating this space is everywhere and we truly enjoyed our stay!
We were at one of the RV hookup sites and our view was a picture postcard scene of meadows and rolling hills. There was a pleasant country road for scenic walks with our dog. We were able to ride our bikes from the campground to the amazing Betsie Valley bike path. Also by bike the village of Frankfort was a delightful visit. The Sleeping Bear Dunes park left us speechless.

Home away from home
Camping at lovely meadows was quite an amazing experience. It was simple and cheap but had every amenity a camper may want. Not to mention how friendly they are there even offering us extra blankets when it got cold on some of the nights. I felt at home. I will be going back next year, can’t wait.
